I have been having mild pain around genital area and numbness in the penis during orgasm.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 23 year old male. I get numbness in the penis during orgasm. I have been doing lower back exercises since two days for my back pain. Since then, I think I have been having mild pain around the genital area and this problem of numbness. Is it temporary?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You have not provided any information regarding your marital status and education which are also relevant for me to diagnose.
Numbness around in the genital area after orgasm can be calledrefractory period. This refractory period after orgasm is quite natural and normal in men. This period can last from a few minutes to one hour. So, you need not worry about this.
Secondly, the lower back exercises might have not caused numbness of the penis in your case. When we do exercise after a long time, it is natural to have pain in and around that site initially for a few days. This is because our muscle becomes contracted and causes the pain.
In case the pain is such that it disturbs your normal activities, then you can take a painkiller on a temporary basis.
