Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had mouth ulcers for a few days on the inner lining of the cheeks. They are prominent on the lips. My main problem is tingling or burning sensations and difficulty swallowing. I do not have any reason for my mouth ulcers.
I used the Orasore tube three to four times a day, and I took Orasore and Becosules tablets for two days.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Mouth ulcers on the inner cheeks and lips, especially when associated with burning sensations and difficulty swallowing, are often painful but usually not dangerous.
So the common causes include stress, minor trauma (such as accidental cheek biting), nutritional deficiencies (like vitamin B12, folate, or iron), hormonal changes, or sometimes viral infections.
Since you are already using Orasore (Choline salicylate and Lidocaine hydrochloride) gel and taking Becosules (a vitamin B complex with B12), you are addressing the pain relief and nutritional aspect, which can help with healing.
To speed up recovery, I suggest you to rinse your mouth with a mild saline or baking soda solution, avoiding spicy, acidic, or very hot foods that worsen irritation, and maintaining good oral hygiene with a soft-bristle toothbrush.
If the ulcers are large, recurrent, associated with fever, persistent for more than two weeks, or if you develop other symptoms like skin rashes, genital ulcers, or joint pain, you should see a doctor to rule out underlying conditions such as autoimmune or gastrointestinal disorders.
For now, continue the current treatment, focus on a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, and keep yourself hydrated, which is important.
I hope this helps. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you and take care.
