My orthopedist is pushing for knee replacement, but I am only 52. I saw an advertisement for stem cell therapy claiming it regrows cartilage naturally without surgery. They harvest cells from my bone marrow, then inject them the same day.

It is too good to be true.

In simple language, what are these stem cells actually doing in my knee if I get this?
Is it worth trying before major surgery?

My sister says it is experimental and dangerous, but testimonials look amazing. I need honest advice.
