Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am taking Nexplanon and have been bleeding every day for the past two months. She gave me estrogen to help, but it is not working. What am I supposed to do?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
Nexplanon is a subcutaneous contraceptive, and it may sometimes cause irregular bleeding or sometimes spotting for at least three months, or up to six months after the application. This is quite normal; this occurs due to the body's hormonal adjustment, so I suggest you continue with Nexaplanon. As far as the bleeding is concerned, you can also take other medicines.
I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
