Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 27 years old and have had a history of PCOS/PMOS since I was 12 years old. The cyst in my ovaries dissolved long ago, but now, after one year, the size has increased to 0.61 cubic inch and 0.79 cubic inch.
Also, I have heavy and thick facial hair, and I bleed a lot during intercourse, but it does not bleed during foreplay.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern. These days, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)/PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) is very common, especially in the young population. Irregular periods, scanty menses, acne, excessive weight gain, and hirsutism these things are commonly seen in PCOS/PMOS.
Weight and PCOS/PMOS are correlated to each other, so maintaining your weight within BMI, with regular exercise and diet modification, will help you a lot in curing PCOS/PMOS. Follicular size varies throughout the menstrual cycle. You must have done a USG (ultrasonography) scan around the 14th day of the menstrual cycle, which is why that showed increased size.
I hope this has helped you.
Thank you.
