What are the possible causes of pea-size droplets of mass in the stool?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

The day before yesterday, my mother-in-law got two pea-size droplets of mass in her stool. She is taking Pilex ointment. Even now, she is in terrible pain. I took a photo of her anus. It is bulged. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand you concern.

It looks like piles. I suggest you take the tablet Zerdol SP (Aceclofenac) twice daily after meals. Sitz bath twice daily after stool for 10 minutes, and take syrup Duphalac (Lactulose) 30 ml once daily at bedtime for seven days.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
