Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had a pilonidal cyst excision about four weeks ago, and it has been doing fine. However, my doctor applied silver nitrate to my scar, and the day after, I sat down on the toilet, and it started bleeding.
I am currently on medications: Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine and Bupropion 150 mg.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
It is possible that the application of silver nitrate caused some irritation or trauma to the surgical site, leading to bleeding. However, it is important to let your doctor know about the bleeding, especially if it continues or if you experience any other symptoms like pain, swelling, or discharge. In terms of your medication, Mydayis (a combination of Amphetamine, Dextroamphetamine, and Levoamphetamine) and Bupropion are both used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These medications are unlikely to have any direct effect on your pilonidal sinus or cyst excision, but they may affect your overall health and well-being.
If you have any concerns about your medication or how it may be affecting your recovery, it is best to speak with your doctor. They can provide you with more personalized advice based on your specific situation.
Please, let me know if you want some help.
Thank you.
