Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have white patches. I could not take medication for the past three to four years, and it has become worse. Patches spread severely. Only in legs, I do not have it yet, except I have it all over the body. Am using Kz soap for the past year. I will attach the photos with the recent prescription. I consulted a skin doctor last year but could not apply ointment continuously because of breastfeeding. Now I did stop breastfeeding.
Kindly help me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
From pictures, it is looking like skin condition pityriasis versicolor (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It is common during the summer months. But your infection is very severe and extensive. Are you having severe dandruff or psoriasis problem?
I suggest you start on Capsule Syntran (Itraconazole) 100 mg twice a day for one week. Tarry shine shampoos (Ketoconazole with Coal Tar), dilute the shampoo, soak your hair for ten minutes and wash off with regular shampoo.
Apply Onabet cream (Sertaconazole) to the white area at night. Drink lots of water. Wear cotton clothes. Take a bath twice a day. For color to come, it will take more than a month.
I hope this was helpful.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you. Yes, I have severe dandruff. The last time when I consulted, I was prescribed Zoletar shampoo. At times I use it. Can I use the same?
Please guide me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
You can use the same as the same fungus causes both.
I hope this was helpful.
Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
