Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got a brown mark after applying toothpaste. The doctor suggested applying Fucidin cream but the mark is not going. What to do to fade away the mark?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I went through the image (the attchment removed to protect the patient's identity). It seems you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) at the site of the application of toothpaste. I suggest you apply Kojic Acid cream, twice daily. It is a skin-lightening cream and would help to lighten the PIH. Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
