Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been trying to conceive and this cycle I took medical treatment like taking Letrozole, and did a follicular study. My doctor told me two eggs have been ruptured and all was good, but for two days I have been suffering from severe diarrhea. Will this affect my chance of getting pregnant this month? Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. The follicular study report is good, as it shows the eggs are released from the ovaries. I hope you had intercourse in this period diarrhea would not affect the pregnancy, but you should take care that dehydration would not be there as during diarrhea, water loss occurs, so should take Elctral powder with water to compensate for water loss and electrolyte loss. Take a Vibact sachet (Lactobacillus) thrice daily with a glass of water till the diarrhea is there. Keep yourself hydrated, take at least three liters of water per day. Have more green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. I hope you are taking the Folic acid tablets regularly.

Thank you.
