In most cases, prostate cancer is less aggressive, and with proper treatment, the patients can survive for more than five years. Treatment options depend upon the stage of the tumor, histopathology report, general condition of the patient, and whether the patient suffers from any other chronic illness. It is initially hormone-sensitive, which means that it can be managed with total androgen blockade.
Following a balanced diet free of red meat and animal fat, along with regular exercise, helps improve the survival and efficacy of the treatment. I suggest a Mediterranean diet based on seafood along with a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. Also, I can provide you with more valuable suggestions only if I can go through the reports of your pathology and PSMA (prostate-specific membrane antigen) PET (positron emission tomography) scan or CECT (contrast-enhanced computed tomography) scan.
