Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have no problem with infertility. I am currently blessed with three children. I do not have erectile issues. I erect very well, but the only problem is that I do not last long in bed. I ejaculate within seconds. I need help because this has affected my ability to satisfy my wife.
Please suggest.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and can understand your concern.
What you describe is a prevalent issue many men experience at some point, so you are not alone. The good news is that you have no problems with fertility or getting an erection, which are significant signs of your overall health. The challenge you face is called premature ejaculation (PE). It is defined as ejaculating sooner than you or your partner would like during sexual activity, and it is something that can often be managed very effectively.
Since this is a sensitive issue, the best way forward is to have a confidential conversation with a doctor. They can provide guidance tailored specifically to you. Here is what you can expect and what often helps. Do practical techniques. You can try this. Many men find significant improvement with simple behavioral techniques. You and your wife can practice these together.
Do the start-stop method. During stimulation, when you feel you are getting close to climax, you stop all movement for about 30 seconds to let the feeling subside, and then start again. Do the squeeze technique. Again, when you feel you are about to ejaculate, you or your partner gently squeeze the tip of the penis for several seconds until the urge passes.
Talk to a gynecologist. A doctor can offer more solutions. This is a normal part of men's health, so please do not be embarrassed. They might discuss certain prescription medications like topical creams or pills that can help delay ejaculation. Sometimes, talking to a therapist or counselor can be very helpful, as stress, anxiety, or performance pressure can play a big role in PE.
I hope this answers your query.
Let me know if I need to assist you further.
Thank you.
