Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter has a cavity and was told by the dentist that she needs a root canal on her six years molars. Is there any option we could fill the cavity vs having a root canal? She is in a lot of pain.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Well, the condition of the tooth decides its treatment. If the dentist has suggested her root canal that means there is nothing that can save her tooth but only root canal. I suggest you go for that. Filling the tooth is only done when there is a small cavity and has not damaged the pulp of that tooth. For stopping pain temporarily, you can consult your dentist for medications. I can suggest Paracetamol or Ketorol-DT (Ketorolac) tablet in low concentration.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
