Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 9 month old baby boy is having some issue in the left eye. Before a week, suddenly one day, I saw his left eye half red and then it slowly subsided. But now, there is some little part of his left eye seems to be permanently reddish and some part of his eye pupil edge looks whitish. I am worried about that whitish grey part of the eye pupil edge. I am attaching an eye close up photo of him that is continuous for the last one week. Could you please help me know if there is anything serious or underlying disease or it can be treated easily?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It looks like an allergic reaction. I suggest you kindly make sure you change his sheets and pillow to hypoallergenic ones. If there is a pet in the house, please keep them away from the child. Start Olopatadine 0.2 percent just once at morning time both eyes for a month. Also, start Carboxymethylcellulose plus Naphazoline eyedrops four times a day for a month. Vigamox (Moxifloxacin) eyedrops three times a day for a week. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
