Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 49-year-old mother of two children. I have a tooth and gum problem which has recently developed. I would appreciate it if you could kindly advise me on the basic treatment for my ailment. The problem is the lower section of the teeth of my mouth is descending inwards into the gum of the lower section of my mouth. I would appreciate it if you could kindly advise me as to how to stop this descending without having to go to a dentist.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern. As per your history, it seems to me that you feel yours. The lower teeth crown area is reducing with time. It is not possible they will descend into the gum. The problem I suggest can be either attrition or gingival enlargement, in both these cases, the issue related may be malocclusion (deep bite). In case you can upload a picture of your teeth it will be easy for me to provide a better opinion or treatment plan. I hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.

Thank you.
