Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from a burning sensation in the fold and inner thigh of both legs where they join my torso and often feels like it is traveling down my legs a few inches from the fold. This seems to be happening all the time, much worse when I sit down and less so when I wake up. Recently feeling like parts of my lower legs are cold or tingly but very intermittent and not often.

Welcome to icliniq.com. I would like to know some further information: 1. What is your age? 2. Since when these symptoms started? 3. Does it increase while walking? 4. Do you have any back pain? 5. Do you have any impairment of sensations in legs or thigh? 6. Is there any difficulty in passing stool and urine? 7. Do you feel properly while passing stool or urine? 8. Do you any other underlying medical problem (diabetes or hypertension or heart problem, etc.)?

Patient's Query

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. I suggest you get NCV (nerve conduction velocity) bilateral lower limb, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) whole spine, serum Vitamin B12, T3, T4, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). The possibilities to be looked in are neuropathy, restless leg syndrome, spinal cord compression, cauda equina syndrome.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

What can I take to reduce burning pain?

Answered by Dr. Hitesh Kumar

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. You can initially try tablet Pregabalin 75 mg at bedtime.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
