Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a root canal treatment recently. After that, l had a foul taste in my mouth and had two rounds of antibiotics. My tooth still hurts and still has a foul taste. Now I have a headache on the same side of my face and sometimes have pain in my lower jaw. However, I do not have facial swelling or swollen glands. I have an appointment with another dentist after two weeks. Is it a serious condition, or can I wait for two weeks?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

You need to get your complete health checkup done as the metallic taste may be a reason for any health issue like a gastric problem or any cold. Then, you can ask your dentist to clean your teeth and prescribe any good folic acid tablets. For pain, I would suggest you rinse your mouth with salt water and turmeric mixture twice daily. Also, maintain oral hygiene and use mouthwash after brushing twice daily.

Thank you.
