Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 35-year-old male. This started after my marriage. I have a runny nose, body aches, headache, and sneezing. I experience this problem twice a year.
I do not have any known allergies. This seems to be a seasonal issue. I have not taken any medicines. I have not had any surgeries.
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Based on your history and the symptoms you have described, the possibility of seasonal allergic rhinitis appears to be more likely. This condition commonly occurs due to seasonal changes and can present with symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, nasal blockage, headache, and body discomfort.
For management, you can take Allegra-M tablets (Montelukast and Fexofenadine) twice daily after food, as it helps reduce the allergic response and relieve your symptoms. In addition, use Duonase nasal spray (Fluticasone propionate and Azelastine), two puffs in each nostril, twice daily. This will help reduce nasal inflammation and improve nasal breathing.
You are also advised to do warm water gargles and steam inhalation four to five times a day, as this helps in clearing nasal passages and provides symptomatic relief.
I hope I have answered your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
