Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from worsening fatigue for the past many years. I have been diagnosed with hEDS, POTS, and MCAS and have had many laboratory tests. My vitamin D deficiency is being worked on and has been treated in the past with no change in fatigue. I am attaching my blood reports.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for your query.

You seem to have disconnected syndromes including hypermobility type Ehlrers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS).

hEDS has a normal life expectancy. However, the symptoms of pain, hypermobility, and stiffness may require treatments including analgesics, muscle relaxants (Mestinon and Baclofen), and physiotherapy.

Whereas for POTS, a form of dysautonomia, all you need to do is have a healthy fluid intake of about 2-3 liters a day at least. Simple measures to help modulate better autonomic nervous system such as yoga and aerobic exercises regularly are likely to aid in better symptomatic control.

For MCAS, better allergen trigger identification and avoidance would help.

I suggest you share your clinical records for better evaluation.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
