Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My wife is 34 years old, and she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Last night we had sex without any protection. Currently, she is on chemotherapy.
Is it ok to have sex during this treatment period (chemotherapy)? Are there any precautions that need to be taken while having sex so that she does not have any complications in the future?
Please suggest.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I suggest you take precautions to prevent pregnancy. In most cases of chemotherapy, the ovaries are suppressed, and the chances of pregnancy are reduced. I suggest you use a condom while having intercourse.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
