Hello doctor,
My baby was diagnosed with ambiguous genitalia; the doctor said he also has a syndrome. I want a second opinion regarding this. Is it a serious condition? What is your opinion?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
You have described only brief details about your son. I need more details about him to answer your doubts. Can you please share a detailed history regarding your and your partner's history (and maybe some genetic testing), the baby's detailed examination, blood tests, and other tests report results, and any other necessary tests to have proper diagnosis and treatment, whatever possible? Consulting a pediatric endocrinologist and surgeon with multidisciplinary care will be better. In some syndromes, babies need hormonal treatment, but first, they must have a proper diagnosis and investigations. In these cases, there are chances for betterment as well.
Thank you.
