Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 19 year old girl. I have been in a physical relationship for two months. Earlier, I never had white discharge, but now, for some months, I get a solid and sticky kind of white discharge in a massive quantity. While cleaning, I get it on my hands; it has a fishy and regular smell. I also have painful periods. I do not intimate regularly. It is after a minimum gap of two months or six months. I have even taken contraceptive pills three to four times, and every time I had unprotected sex. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Withdrawal bleeding is only a side effect of the contraceptive pill. It happens due to the sudden withdrawal of hormones from your body, so it does not necessarily happen to everyone. In your case, you may have menstrual irregularities, which could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by an i-Pill. This is why it is a little unpredictable when you receive your next period, and maybe you will get it on time or delayed by seven to ten days. As you took i-Pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
