Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Two weeks ago, I engaged in risky sexual behavior, and now I am experiencing a smelly discharge from my penis that is clear in color. At times, it also causes itching around the tip. I have a history of using condoms but have developed a weeping discharge with a strong and unpleasant smell. There is no history of urgency or frequency, and urine analysis came back negative. I also tested negative for chlamydia, trachoma, and gonorrhea. What do you suggest?

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

Are you experiencing multiple instances of inflammation and swelling of the glans penis, accompanied by itching and excessive scratching or rubbing? I suggest washing your genitals daily with Episoft or No Soap cleanser for a month. To better understand your condition, please attach a clinical picture so we can provide further guidance.

Best regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for your reply,

I believe that it is my first episode, as I have not experienced any inflammation or swelling. I have been feeling occasional itching, usually once or twice a day, and tend to only rub the affected area on my foreskin or glans. I began using cream today. Can you please tell me about those brown and black spots that I did not previously notice? There is no oozing, but I have noticed a weeping type of discharge. My exposure occurred 12 days ago.

Hello,

Welcome back to iclinq.com.

It is possible that it could be a sessile warts caused by a sexually transmitted infection. To rule out this possibility, a serological test is recommended. Additionally, I suggest

  1. Apply Sodium Fusidate 2 % during the daytime for seven days.
  2. Maintain proper genital hygiene.
  3. Avoid friction, scratching, and rubbing of lesions,
  4. Avoid injury or trauma.
  5. Syrup Citalopram 2 ml twice daily with food for seven days.
  6. One tablet of Cefixime 200 mg after dinner for five days.
  7. Genitals should be washed daily using Episoft cleanser or a non-soap cleanser.
  8. Practicing safe sex is highly advised, and avoid contact with harsh soaps, fragrance-based lotions, and lubricants.

Best regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for your reply,

The serology test for HIV came back negative. I am wondering if it is still possible for me to have contracted HPV. If that is the case, which specific test should I take to check for HPV?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Tests such as the Acetowhite test, skin biopsy, and detection of HPV (human papilloma virus) DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) can be used to diagnose HPV.

Best regards.
