Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had mucous in my throat for the past few months. My tongue burns when I eat slightly spicy food. My ENT specialist told me I have silent reflux syndrome in my throat. I have been taking acid blockers but do not feel comfortable swallowing them. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I can understand that you are suffering from acid reflux. It happens when the stomach acid moves upwards and causes irritation in the esophagus and the throat. There is a sphincter in the lower end of the esophagus, which allows the food to move to the stomach and closes completely after eating your food. In some people, the sphincter will not close fully, allowing the food and the digestive juices to move upwards. This will irritate the throat. I suggest you take the capsule Pantoprazole to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease.
I suggest you take Drakshadi Kwatham (amla, beechwood, blue lotus, coco-grass, grapes, Indian lotus, Indian sandalwood, and Indian sarsaparilla) with one fl oz lukewarm water two times before food. Avipattikara churna (amla, bibhitaki, haritaki, pippali, marica, sunti, musta, patra, lavanga, elaichi, trivrt, vida, vidanga, and sarkara) two spoon (consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent).
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
