Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I am sorry, but I am not able to open your attachment files.

What type of side effects do you have? Why are you on tablet Nytol?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

I do not have any side-effects. Tablet Nytol is a sleeping pill right? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Tablet Nytol is an antihistamine, anti-allergic, and helps you sleep at night. It is a sleeping aid medication, not sleeping pills. It will help you to induce sleep. I suggest you take tablet Setral 50 (Sertraline 50 mg) in the morning after breakfast and tablet Nytol 25 mg (Diphenhydramine) at night. If you think you have side effects, you stop tablet Nytol, and I suggest you start tablet Clonazepam 0.5 mg at night. Tablet Clonazepam is a sleeping pill that helps you deal with anxiety, depression, and sleep. It is not a sleeping aid.

I hope that I have cleared your doubt.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

Doctor prescribed tablet Setral 50 mg at night. So if i do not take tablet Nytol is it ok to take tablet Setral 50 mg at night? and does psychiatric prescribe tablet Nytol for sleep?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You can take a tablet Setral at night, but I suggest it will be better if you take it in the morning after breakfast. Sometimes it will make trouble for sleep if you take it at night. Otherwise, you can take it at night. Yes, many psychiatrists prescribe tablet Nytol if you have mild sleep disturbance. It is an OTC (over-the-counter) sleep aid.

I hope this helps.
