What is the treatment for reduced sperm count and semen problems?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I masturbated during my teenage period. Now, I am 24 years old, and I feel like my sperm count is less than usual, and semen comes out too soon while having arousal and in a frequent manner. Can this problem be cured through any remedies? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

There are many reasons for premature ejaculation.

  1. Stressful work such as night duties and 24-hour jobs.
  2. Diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid issue affect premature ejaculation. Control of your blood sugar, blood pressure, and thyroid hormones will help you.
  3. Long-term medication related to hypertension and anti-psychiatric medications.
  4. Frequent masturbation.
  5. Excess porn.
  6. Receiving less foreplay from a partner or lack of knowledge regarding foreplay and female masturbation.
  7. Having an affair gives you a guilty feeling.
  8. Lack of exercise and obesity.
    1. To increase the foreplay duration during sex, women should receive 15 to 20 minutes of foreplay, and men should receive ten to fifteen minutes of foreplay for a good blood supply to the penis for a long and hard erection. Foreplay should be in a relaxed manner. Your partner should learn to give foreplay in a way you do not ejaculate and enjoy.
    2. You can try relaxing music.

I suggest you need to do a complete semen test to know about the quality.

    Thank you.

You need to check FBS (fasting blood sugar) and PPBS (post-prandial blood sugar) to rule out diabetes, check your blood pressure, and free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) to rule out thyroid issues. You can use the tablet Duralast (Dapoxetine) 30 mg as a temporary solution.
