Semen and urine are yellow colored. Is it fine?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old. I am getting a yellow urine since last four to five months. What could be the reason and also my semen color is yellow. Can you help me with this? Is it because of masturbation?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yellow urine is usually due to less water intake, sweating, vitamin pills or certain foods or food color. Yellow semen is seen when you masturbate or have intercourse after a break of a few days. In both cases, there is no cause to worry if there are no other symptoms. This has no relation to masturbation. If you have persistently yellow urine or yellow eyes, contact your doctor. Take care.
