Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been experiencing discomfort in my stomach for the last three days. Severe non-stop headaches have accompanied this discomfort and I have lost all appetite for food. The discomfort is worse in the morning. I have taken painkillers with no change. I recently moved from one country to another, so two weeks after I got back, I started having the same problem which went on for two weeks then I was okay. After two weeks, which was two days ago, it started all over again. The problem with the stomach is that I feel full, constipated, and bloated, with no pain at all. This is causing me sleepless nights because the headache is nonstop. What could be the issue?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
It looks like you have a tummy upset because of an infection. The painkillers are reasons for hyper-acidity which shows itself in the form of headache.
I advise you to take the following:
Anti-acidity medicine (not the salts) is to be taken twice a day at least half an hour before any major food of the day.
The antibiotic will be available only on prescription, for that you will have to visit your nearby general practitioner (GP or hospital).
Limit the use of painkillers. They are worsening your condition.
The probable causes include:
Aberrant food intake, possibly unhygienic conditions while consuming food.
I suggest you to do the following:
Visit to local GP.
The probable diagnosis includes:
Gastroenteritis.
Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
