Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My lips have got swollen. It happened around last year too. My lips got huge from night, even after taking OTC allergy medications. I woke up in the morning. I felt nauseous, but my lips got a little smaller. I continued to use OTC medications.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
According to the history, (attachment removed to protect patient identity) you have an allergy disorder, and so the lips can be swollen. Now, your allergy is being subsided as there is an improvement seen with an antiallergic medication. So you can continue with antiallergic medicines if there is improvement present. For allergy Levocetirizine and Fexofenadine can be taken and if the allergy is severe, then a short-term steroid course is given. In such an allergy problem, it is advisable to investigate with CBC (complete blood count) and AEC (abnormal eosinophil count) investigation to check if there is eosinophilia present. Thank you and take care. Regards.
