Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

How to confirm that a person is suffering from SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus)?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Get ANA test (Antinuclear antibodies) done to diagnose SLE. Though ANA is positive in other autoimmune diseases too, it is strongly positive in SLE. Once this test is found to be positive, it is correlated with signs and symptoms to confirm SLE. In case of doubt, other confirmatory tests would be required.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
