How to manage the symptoms of tinea curis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I think I have had tinea cruris (commonly known as jock itch) in my groin area for two months. It is getting worse even after using creams, and tablets. I am in Asia right now and the temperature is cold here. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I would suggest you to follow the following steps:

  1. Avoid occlusive tight wear. Wear loose comfortable comfortable cotton inners or clothes.
  2. Keep the area clean and dry.
  3. Apply Miconazole cream at night for six weeks.
  4. Apply Terbinafine hydrochloride cream in the daytime for six weeks.
  5. Use Clocip KZ soap 75g (Clotrimazole and Ketoconazole) for bathing for two months.

Attach a clinical picture to assess, so that I can guide you further. Follow up after two months.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you
