Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have dilated tortuous veins in front of my penis, but I have no pain. It has been present for a long time and seems to progress on erection. I do masturbation sometimes. Is this a serious problem, and what should I do for the treatment?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed the attached images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), and you have an engorged vein. People can have veins of varying sizes depending upon their age, physical stature, and genetics. Some might have engorged veins over the penis. It should not be considered a disease, and one should not panic. However, such big veins are easily subject to trauma, especially during vigorous sexual activity or masturbation, and can become thick and cord-like. Hence, you need to be careful about that.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

Can I apply Heparin cream and follow sexual abstinence?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If there is no pain or hardening of the veins, you do not have to apply anything. It is just a normal and physiological process that will continue to occur.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
