Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Two months ago, I got kicked in the testicles while exercising during a marital art. The shock was intense, and the pain was terrible. After the shock, the problem came within a five-second delay and was very painful for my stomach. After three to four minutes, the pain disappeared. No bruising, no bleeding, no swelling, or no blue stains, but the shock was intense. It has been two months, and I am anxious and stressed about having a testosterone level after that shock. Is hypogonadism possible? Did I lose one testicle? I cannot also know if I have low testosterone symptoms because my libido is still the same, but possibly one testicle is affected, and the other is compensating. Or did I not damage anything?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for contacting us.
I can truly understand that this was a very unpleasant situation and that you are now worried about your testicles' condition. However, I can reassure you that there is most likely no permanent damage when you do not have pain or any other problems now. You can check your testicles yourself when the scrotum is relaxed, like when you are taking a warm shower. Then you can use your own hands and check if your testicles are smooth and egg-shaped. On their top and their bottom, you should feel cable-like structures. If you feel something very hard on your testicles, or if one of them is much larger than the other one, you should see a doctor immediately. Otherwise, you do not need to be worried about your testosterone level. The male organs are very good at tolerating hits and other accidents.
