Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My tridot test was negative, and it was negative after four months. I have body pains, muscle pain, a red dot in my eyes, and small bumps on my lips. I have an infection in both legs after body pains, headache, and tooth pain. I had sexual intercourse with 17 years old girl who looked healthy. There was a condom breakage, and I am worrying about it. My doctor told me to test after six months. Is tridot test accurate?

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Most (99.9 %) of people infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) develop antibodies in three months. Rare instances of late seroconversion at six months are also reported in the literature. So, you can easily relax. Symptoms that you are having could have multiple reasons. There are no specific symptoms or signs which can lead to the diagnosis of HIV. There are recommendations, and I also suggest all patients get a confirmatory test at six months of last exposure.

I hope this information will help you.
