I am a 21-year-old white male living on the East Coast. After having unprotected sex with a female friend, I noticed a single lesion on the shaft of my penis three days later. This lesion resembles a cold sore, with a white center and a red halo, measuring about 0.08 to 0.12 inches. I also shaved my pubic hair a day before having sex, and I engage in strenuous workouts, leading to excessive sweating. My friend claims to have tested negative for STDs last year and has not had unprotected sex since then. I am seeking insight from an expert to understand what this lesion might indicate and what I can or cannot rule out based on this information. I plan to visit my doctor if the issue does not resolve quickly. Kindly help.
