Should someone be concerned about sexually transmitted diseases after a massage encounter?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Yesterday night I went to a massage parlor and had an oil massage. The lady rubbed her body on my body and my body was covered with oil. She rubbed her breast over my body and penis. I am worried if her breast had breast fluid which could have touched my penis. She tried to rub her vagina on my penis. When I realized this, I told her not to rub my penis with her vagina. Because I do not want to take the risk. I think my penis touched her vagina for around one second. There was no sex, and I did not penetrate her vagina. What makes me feel insecure is if her vagina had some fluid, will I be at risk? My penis touched her vaginal opening but my penis was covered in massage oil. I am currently taking collagen and vitamin C. Do I need to take any other medicine? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I read your query and understood your concern.

The risk of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) transmission through activities like massage or breast contact is considered extremely low. Transmission of HIV through slight penis-vagina contact, as mentioned, is also highly unlikely. In my opinion, there is no need for HIV post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in this scenario. It is important to note that while the risk of HIV transmission is low, other sexually transmitted diseases, such as herpes simplex virus, can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact or through kissing, especially if active lesions are present at the time of contact.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

So I do not need to worry about HIV, right? I have some concerns about the risk of HIV transmission. During a brief encounter, my penis made contact with my partner's vagina, and she attempted to rub her vagina with it. I quickly stopped her, but my penis was also covered in massage oil. How worried should I be about the risk of HIV transmission in this situation? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In my opinion, there is no need to worry about human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and HIV post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Avoiding risky encounters would be the best prevention.

I hope it helps.

Thank you.
