What causes white and itchy vagina with odorless discharge?

Most likely diagnosis Candidiasis (yeast infection) of vulva and vaginaWhy this is a good plan:Yeast infections can lead to burning and itching. Skin may be pale or white, swollen or irritated The discharge is usually either thick or watery and usually has no odour.Other possibilities:

• Contact irritation - This can be caused by new soaps, pads, tight clothing or condoms. It can cause whitening and irritation and burning.
• Lichen sclerosus: Usually these are seen with chronic white patches and itching rather than an acute onset.
• Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (like Chlamydia): Possible if you’ve had unprotected sex recently, but these usually cause discharge without the intense external itching and white irritated skin.

The most probable medical diagnosis for this patient is an acute yeast infection.What to do.

• Say, an over-the-counter antifungal vaginal medication.
• Pat dry. Do not use scented soaps.
• Wear cotton panties. Loose ones.

If you do: Call 911 or go to the ER right away.

• Severe pelvic pain.
• Heat.
• Dysuria.
• Discharge that is green or foul smelling.
• You are not alone this is a very common condition and it can be treated.

Now tell me, of these three events, antibiotic use, sexual activity and use of a new product, which one occurred before your present symptoms.
