Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 27 years old. For the last 40 days, I notice some pimples or skin roughness around my nose. I usually use bath soap and anti-acne men's face wash. I have attached images. I have my marriage in 40 days. I need a solution. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your photos (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It has made things very clear. What you have are not pimples but closed comedones or whiteheads in layman's terms. You need to start applying Epiduo gel (Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide) at night. You can use it all over the face except the neck and near the eyes. Only two drops are needed for the entire face. This will also give a glow to your face, but it will take atleast 15 days to start showing its effect. If the gel irritates a lot, then start with an alternate night application and use a good sunscreen of SPF 15 and above daily no matter how the weather is. You can begin taking capsule Antoxid HC (Beta Carotene, Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate, Manganese, and Copper) daily after lunch for smooth skin. The face wash you are using is good, but for winter, cream-based bathing bars. Please do not go for facial massages and other creams as they do more harm than good. I hope this helps. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
