What happens if the right posterior communicating artery is smaller than usual?

Hello doctor,

I had a brain MRI done recently, and the result says that the right posterior communicating artery is diminutive but intact. Is this cause for concern? I previously had brain imaging done five years ago, and this was not noted.

Kindly help.

Does having fatigue, muscle weakness, and aching in the arms and legs post-COVID indicate ALS?

Hi doctor,

I recently had covid and suffered from headaches, muscle aches, fever, and fatigue. I have tested negative after four days but still suffer from severe fatigue, muscle weakness (heaviness), and aching in both arms and legs. In the last 2 to 3 days, I have also developed muscle twitches (mostly in both legs and my arms and neck). There is no obvious muscle wasting, and my grip is fine. However, daily tasks are very tiring, and my arms easily become tired when trying to dry my hair, etc. I have had blood tests and chest x-ray, which came back normal for B12, iron, etc. I am concerned these may be early symptoms of ALS. My younger sister was diagnosed with MS last year.

Can a stroke patient get COVID vaccine while on blood thinners?

Hello doctor,

About four years ago, my mother was diagnosed with a moderate stroke. Her only symptom was vision disturbance for a short time and no after-effects. During the MRI, they detected a 3 mm aneurysm. The Neurologist was not concerned with that and told her to ignore it because it was a little bulge. She has been on Plavix and Aspirin since then. She has not followed up with the Neurologist since the initial stroke because she has had no further problems. She is 76 and very active. My question is about the COVID vaccine. My dad passed away from Opdivo immunotherapy, so that you can imagine my concern about new medical treatments. I know she is at risk if she gets COVID, but is she also at risk from the vaccine? Is it risky to take it when you are on a blood thinner, have a stroke history, and have a small brain aneurysm?
