What is this issue where I can retract half of my foreskin?

Hello doctor,

My father has night blindness and his overall vision is very bad. He is taking some medication to keep his vision from degrading. He has been given advise to try Ocuvite lutein and I am not sure whether that is a good product for him. I am not aware of the side effects associated with it. I would like to know what we can do to keep his vision in a good state. Currently, he is taking some blood thinning products such as Aspirin. Please help.

What treatment can I opt for high degree of corneal opacity?

Hi doctor,

I am a 45 year old male. 25 years ago, I had radial keratotomy on both eyes. After a year, I had for the second time in my left. Later, BCVA in left became 9/10 and right 10/10. Now over a month, I am experiencing a blurry vision in the left with occasional headache and left eye pain. Three weeks ago, I had an eye examination and the left eye vision was 4/10 and right 9/10 not correcting both with glasses. My doctor informed me that there is a higher degree of corneal opacity in the left eye and less in the right. He also saw a coloring matter in the cornea. The RK, 4 incisions, were performed at the age of 16 and now I am 45. My doctor told me that my blurry vision is due to abnormal cornea and the only solution for my case is to try to fix the vision with contact lenses. The results were negative when I tried all kind of lenses such as scleral, soft, hard, etc., the left was only 6/10 and 9/10 right. My doctor said that there is no chance for PTK or corneal transplant. What treatment can I opt for? I have attached my investigation reports, so you can have a better understanding of my problem. Any suggestion will be helpful. I would like to know, is there a chance of glaucoma? Thanks and looking forward for your response.

Left eye starts watering when I see bright light. Why is it?

Hi doctor,

I am a 26 year old male. I have noticed over the past several months, that I have been favoring my right eye more (monocular vision). My right eye is my dominant eye. I have been leaning in that direction to read. I can still see out of my left eye but the focus is from my right. I have slight double vision with close objects of about 2 feet from my face but when I consciously try and focus with both eyes it disappears. Corneal light reflex shows slight deviation to the left of my left eye, approximately 1.5 mm. I went to the optometrist yesterday to get a prescription for reading glasses since I read a tremendous amount for school. All of my EOMI as well as my pupils were reactive to both direct and consensual light reflexes. Left pupil is slightly larger by 1 mm or so. I had a CT scan of my head last month due to a headache and acute anxiety. I have had four concussions and was worried about delayed symptoms from those. CAT scan came back clean with no noticeable lesions. My dog scratched my eye around 6 months back or so and it felt as if it pulled slightly and I am worried that might have caused it out of alignment. There was no surface damage to the eye, but the left medial rectus becomes sore if I move it too often or try to focus. My left eye starts tearing up as well whenever I go into bright lights. Since all of the extra ocular muscles are intact, should I just wait and see if the prescription fixes the problem or should I have them checked out by an ophthalmologist? I have attached the pictures for your reference. Please suggest.

After removing the spectacles, the eyes look crossed. How to correct them?

Hello doctor,

My 1-1/2 year old daughter is diagnosed with accommodative esotropia (crossed eye) and is recommended to wear glasses. And she has been wearing them for a month now. But, when I remove the glasses, the eyes still look crossed. But, looks fine when she wears the glasses. Is there a surgery for correcting the alignment? I understand that she has to wear glasses for long sight. Please suggest.
