Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 23 years old. I am having -4 with cylindrical (180°axis) power in both eyes. Which type and which company contact lenses are the best for me? Please guide. Thank you.

Hi

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Minus 4 cylindrical power is very high power. For this power, contact lenses are preferred and give better vision compared to glasses. There are many commercially available contact lenses. We commonly use Bausch and Lomb contact lenses to our patients.Preferably, use monthly disposable contact lenses, as you can maintain good eye hygiene and thereby preventing infections. One more thing I would suggest you is to rule out keratoconus (condition in which eye's cornea is unable to maintain round shape) and thin cornea.Avoid wearing contact lenses during night and while sleeping to avoid side effects.I hope I have addressed your concerns. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.Thank you.
