Can I take Modafinil for short-term memory loss?
Hello doctor,
I am 34 years old mom of a 5 year old. I am excessively tired and have a need to sleep at all times. I had CBC done, and my eosinophils are high, and my MPV is low, but everything else came back fine. My body aches, and I feel horrible. I have bruises that appear out of nowhere all over my legs and even my buttocks and my skin itches. I also have about 10 to 11 red dots on my skin that look like someone took a red pen and put a dot on me. I am also suffering from short-term memory loss and sometimes confusion. My doctor put me on a medicine called Modafinil 100 mg, yesterday. I have not taken it yet. I am also taking Klonopin, Prozac, and Buspar for about eight years or longer since getting out of the Marines. Please help me figure out what I should do next. Should I consult a hematologist or an oncologist? Should I be worried?

What can cause lymph node enlargement in the neck?
Hi doctor,
I would like to seek your help on higher lymphocyte count. I am taking antibiotics after my doctor noticed enlarged lymph nodes on my neck and edge of my ears. I am under medication to check whether this infection is due to some throat issues or not. But my ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) count remains same after a week. My platelet count is settled in comparison to my earlier reports. I have attached my reports for your reference. Please help.

What could be the reason for constant feeling of nausea and abdominal pain?
Hi doctor,
I am a 20 year old female. My height is 5'1", and weight is 120 lbs. I have been getting a constant feel of nausea for over a year along with abdomen, chest and back pain. The chest pain is sharp in the place of the heart. The back pain is right down the middle of my back, starting at my shoulder blades and ending near the center. The abdominal pain is right down the middle of the torso and extends to the sides near my belly button. I feel nauseous all the time and have lost over 70 lbs in six months. I feel bloated, and my lower abdomen is tender to touch. I had an upper endoscopy, and nothing found abnormal besides irritation from the vomiting. I had blood tests, urine test, gall bladder test, liver and kidney tests. All the tests came back normal. I am currently on Zofran and Zantac for nausea.

Will HIV spread if someone has unprotected sex with one HIV-positive woman just once?

My husband had unprotected sexual intercourse with one woman and he told me that last week only and he got to know that the woman is HIV positive. Now, I am getting fear about my husband and my health. So far, my husband does not see any health issues and he is saying, he had sex only once. But, I do not believe his words. I am pregnant now after three years, I got a baby now.I want to know whether HIV will affect my husband and me and whether I have to terminate my pregnancy. Will one exposure spread HIV? What are the symptoms, and when will they appear after the exposure? Kindly help.
