I have some weird feelings on the opposite side of the ileostomy. Can IBD be the cause?

Hi doctor,

I am a 29-year-old male with a weight of 138.9 lbs and a height of 5 feet 6 inches. I went for a pain in my side. It turned out to be an abscess and internal infection. They ended up doing an ileostomy. Recently I started to have some weird feeling in my left side on and off on the opposite side of ileostomy. It is not a serious pain but it does not feel right. I have a general feeling of uneasiness and I am unable to describe it exactly. But I have a weird ache throughout my body on and off. I had a blood test two months back and it showed high WBC. Nine years back, I had an ulcer that got ruptured. Then I was diagnosed with IBD or Crohn's disease. I contacted the office of the GI doctor. But he is not available to see me until next week. Should I need to go to ER now? Do I need a CT scan? Is it safe to go to ER now with a mask? Is there a way to speak to a doctor who can get me to do a CT scan or colonoscopy to see what is going on by avoiding ER?

I have slow-growing FNH with recent progression. Is there a chance of malignancy?

Hello doctor,

I am suspected for adenoma or FNH slow-growing in 2018 at 1 cm, but now it is 1.9 cm. There has been a change in the results since my last test in January. It is now saying there is a progressive internal washout with a peripheral rim of persistent enhancement.

Why do I have abdominal pain, cramping, vomiting, indigestion, and difficulty in defecation?

Hello doctor,

I have stomach pain, cramping, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, vomiting undigested food. I checked my stool and found some worm-like objects. But I guess it could be undigested food, fiber, or mucosa. I consulted a doctor, and he said that it could be a stomach worm. And he advised me to stop taking laxatives. Now, I need to defecate, but I cannot do it. My upper stomach is bloated after eating.

Kindly help.

What could be the reason for high AST and ALT levels for the past five years?

Hi doctor,

I have reported high ALT and AST levels for the past five years. I have a normal weight and attached my blood tests and liver ultrasound reports. My doctor says that the levels are not getting down and recommended to consult with a liver specialist. Three months ago, my ALT was 108 and my AST was 63; but last month, my ALT was 93, and my AST was 56. My GGT 31 X-Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) score was 9.01 and the abdominal ultrasound depicted elevated liver enzymes with no surgical history. When technique transabdominal ultrasound was performed, then the liver was normal in size and measures 141 mm. It demonstrates a smooth border and appears slightly echogenic, with no evidence of intrahepatic ductal dilatation. Hepatic veins were patent. The main portal vein shows normal hepatopetal flow. The gallbladder shows normal morphology with no stones. The gallbladder wall is not thickened and measures 1.6 mm. The sonographic Murphy sign is negative. The common bile duct measures 2.4 mm anteroposteriorly, which is normal. The pancreas appears to be normal in size and echotexture. The right kidney demonstrates normal morphology and cortical echogenicity, with no evidence of stones, masses, or hydronephrosis. The right kidney measures 90 x 43 x 43 mm. The cortex measures 11 mm. No free fluid is seen. There is fatty infiltration of the liver parenchyma. I have presented my reports from the past five years. Please tell me what my reports depict.

Thank you.
