I have severe rashes in my scrotum area. It has become hard and dry with red bumps all over the scrotum area and the penis too. I usually use Dettol soap and also I have shaved my groin area. Is that the reason for this? Please tell any medicines. I have chronic urticaria since last year.

What causes pricking sensation without itching in genitals?
Hello doctor,
I am having a pricking sensation (worsens if I am walking) in my genitals, and very infrequently in my armpits. No itching, only either pricky feeling or like a cut when touched. The dermatologist could not see any infection but another doctor told that it is Fordyce. This has been for the past 18 months. Now it has been reduced significantly for the past 7 to 15 days. The antifungal powder and cream I was using provide only temporary relief.

Is it necessary to get allergy testing done for perioral dermatitis?
Hello doctor,
I have personal dermatitis. I was prescribed 12 weeks of 100 mg Doxycycline. However, I am skeptical about taking antibiotics as I have read that with a lot of people the rash returns upon finishing treatment. Also, it can mess up your gut which is apparently linked to perioral dermatitis. I have gone gluten, dairy, and sugar-free, started Probiotics, Zinc, and omega-3 supplements and the rash still persists. I also use Metrogel, it helps but my rash is still there. It is mild but very annoying and sore. If I take antibiotics will it make things worse? Or should I go get allergy testing? I have also cut out fluoride toothpaste and eliminated SLS.
