Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 25-year-old female and I weigh 112 pounds and my height is 5 feet and 3 inches. I have severe abdominal pain after I had intercourse with my husband. At first, we did not use any safety measures, then I took an I-pill following which I had a watery pinkish bleeding for one day. It has been three days, and I am still not recovering from this pain. I took a few painkillers as well like Ibuprofen. Can you please prescribe me some antibiotics?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and I can understand your concern.

From your description, it seems that you could be suffering from a vaginal infection, and I suggest you take the following:

  1. Tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily.
  2. Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily.
  3. Tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily before meal.
  4. Keep Clindamycin plus Clotrimazole (Clingen) vaginal pessary in the vagina while sleeping at night.

Take all these for three days. For pain, you can take the tablet Aceclofenac plus Paracetamol plus Serratiopeptidase (Zerodol- SP) as and when required. Keep yourself hydrated, and drink at least three liters of water per day. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet.I hope this information helps you. Feel free to reach out if you have any further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Instead of Doxycycline, can you suggest something else because I could not get it in the pharmacy.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Doxycycline is easily available at any medical store. If it is not available, then you can take the tablet Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid (Augmentin) 625 mg.

Thank you.
