Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I recently had right upper abdominal pain and did liver tests for two days straight, and the doctor said the results were fine. But I noticed an increase in serum globulin, and I searched on the internet, and it showed multiple myeloma as a cause. I am really scared now.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

First of all, avoid using the internet for medical opinions. There are many causes of raised serum globulins. Even in cancer, these levels are raised. But it does not mean that you have cancer. History and examination are more important than a laboratory test to reach a diagnosis.

Your report is fine, so relax. If one thing is increased, it does not mean there is always a problem. There are certain levels for everything to be clinically significant.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
