Why is there stomach ache and audible gas sound from the stomach?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 35 years old. I have had a stomach ache for a few months and a lot of gas which is audible to the person sitting next to me. I have no acidity and loss of appetite, but I do not do much activity. I have had stomach pain for the past 24 hours. I am working in night shift, and it is a sitting job. I have been trying ayurvedic medicines for the last month but still have not gotten any benefit from them. I was diagnosed with fatty liver during my last ultrasound five years ago, and nothing was found in the endoscopy. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It could be a stomach inflammation-like condition. I suggest you take antacids like Rabeprazole for a week. It could be chronic gastritis, as the pain has been present for many months. I suggest you consult a gastroenterologist for a detailed evaluation, and if needed, an endoscopy should be planned. Meanwhile, avoid gastric irritants like excess spicy foods, excess tea, and coffee, smoking, and avoid stress, etc. Cooked oatmeal help in soothing the stomach. According to the cause of your problem, specific treatments are given. Your lymphocytes count is elevated in CBC (complete blood count) report (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). So I suggest your CBC should be done after one week again. You can revert back with a repeat CBC report. So I suggest you consult a physician or gastroenterologist for examination and get a prescription accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards.
