Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 26-year-old male in pretty good cardio shape, but I have elevated blood pressure. I can feel the base of my lungs inflates every morning. There is a slight rumbling on my first deep breath, which has been happening for three to four months. I got a chest X-ray, and everything came back normal. They said it was likely seasonal allergies that caused mucus in the lungs, but the issue is still ongoing. I am attaching my reports. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I saw the attached report (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), which is normal. As there is no atelectasis and no mention of any mucus plugs, you need not worry. Do some pranayama. This will increase your lung capacity and settle the rumbling issue you feel. This could be because when at rest, some bronchi or bronchiole might have been closed or collapsed, which generally occurs in some people. So when you take deep breaths, the sound and inflation occur. This looks fine, and no need to worry. What is your blood pressure? Thank you. High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) if symptoms persist. Treatment plan include doing pranayama. It might require a nebulizer or chest physiotherapy if it persists. Followup to be done after Two weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
