It appears to be a huge abscess. It is commonly seen due to deep tooth infection leading to pus formation below the root tips of the tooth. At times, the pus perforates the bone and accumulates under the soft tissues leading to the formation of a painful lump. It has to be confirmed by clinical examination and investigation like an X-ray. In case it is a huge abscess, an incision, and drainage may be required under local anesthesia. If the tooth associated is decayed, then the tooth should also be treated by a root canal treatment or extraction depending on the condition of the tooth. So taking medication alone will not help. To relieve pain temporarily, you can take higher painkillers like Tramadol or Ketorolac. Apply Lidocaine gel over the lump. Do cool compresses over the cheek. Kindly follow up with an X-ray.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.
