Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had a tiny spot on my face that has been bleeding easily for the past few days. If I forget about it and slightly scratch my face, it starts bleeding a lot. The bleeding stops when applying pressure for about one minute.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It looks like pyogenic granuloma, a condition that presents as a friable red papular lesion. Usually, solitary and trivial trauma can lead to this. The lesions are bright red and bleed profusely with trauma or scratching as there is the proliferation of blood vessels. It is a benign condition. Treatment usually consists of radio frequency cautery or laser. In topical treatments, one can use Timolol ophthalmic solution 0.5 % twice a day for two weeks. Kindly contact your local pharmacy or physician for the prescription of the same.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
